Introducing
Prof Federico Frascoli
Hello, I’m Federico, an Honorary member of the Clinical Outcomes Research (CORe) Unit and Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne.

a little bit about me
My research interests are quite vast and span a number of topics in mathematical physics and mathematical biology, including epidemiology, disease modelling and applied bifurcation theory. At CORe, I provide expertise in the modelling aspects of a variety of clinical problems, including recent contributions to understanding therapeutic lags in Relapse Remitting Multiple Sclerosis, efficacy of switches in index therapy and epidemiological aspects of immunotherapies.
I hold a Laurea in Theoretical Physics from the University of Parma in Italy and a PhD in mathematical physics from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne. I have been a Postdoctoral Researcher in mathematical biology at the Department of Mathematics of Melbourne University and a Postdoctoral fellow in computational neurosciences at the Brain Sciences Institute, in Melbourne.
